When we first met Katie and Marco, we were super excited when they told us where they were getting hitched and we couldn’t wait for their wedding date to come around. The couple got married on the deck of The Boat House in Ormesby, Norfolk on May 14th 2016, which was just one month before we had our little boy. We were not expecting our first child when K&M booked us to photograph their big day, so although we were delighted to have welcomed our own little person into the world, Victoria was gutted to be missing out on this particular wedding. We explained our situation to these guys – who were fabulously understanding – and then enlisted the help of super talented creative, wedding photographer Beth Moseley to accompany Rob for the day.
On the morning of the wedding, Beth spent the time with Katie and her bridesmaids in one of the gorgeous lodges that The Boat House has over looking the broads, while Rob hung out with the boys while they got ready. The weather started off looking a bit bleak, but minus one little sprinkling of raindrops, the sun came out just as Katie arrived by boat in time for the ceremony to begin.
The couple opted for a tasteful, nautical theme and the venue looked stunning with it’s views overlooking the broad. What makes this wedding rather unique? Well, the two llamas that greeted the guests during the drinks and canapés! The llamas were a nod to Marco’s Chilean roots and it’s certainly the first time we’ve had the joy of having these quirky creatures at a wedding!
Here’s 10 of our favourite images to provide a little snapshot of Katie and Marco’s day.
